FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Keen to join an early-stage venture? Eager to tackle an exciting challenge? We’re seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with proven proficiency in data science and API configuration. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate in this newly created role will be trusted to design and develop our product architecture, incorporating machine learning and AI components.
ABOUT YOU
  • Eager to learn and exchange ideas, you’re a low ego technical leader who inspires respect by maintaining a high level ofintegrity and professionalism in everything you do.
  • You have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with at least 5 years of experience in progressive roles.
  • You take pride in the quality and timeliness of your work and are recognized for achieving results with little guidance.
  • An active listener and confident communicator, you balance user pain points with business needs to make sound, data-informed decisions.
  • You have proven project management skills and have successfully taken a product through to production.
  • Skilled in back-end languages of PHP and Python, you have experience with cloud service architectures, such as Azure or AWS and are confident with relational databases like MySQL. Ideally, you understand Vue and React front-end
  • frameworks, and have worked in technology risk analytics.
  • Innately curious, you’re passionate about machine learning, deep learning and risk analytics – prior experience in data science & machine learning methods would be an asset.
  • You have sound interpersonal skills and enough experience to appreciate the business side of a start-up.
  • A background in cloud integration, insurance industry experience and exposure to HIPPA are assets.
  • A valid passport and ability to travel to the US are required. Ability to legally work and reside in US is an asset.

Talem Health formally announces Dr. Gooyers as a Forensic Biomechanics Advisor

Talem Health Analytics strive to provide a strong clinical background for data analytics and predictive treatment. We are now excited to add forensic bio mechanics expertise to our methodologies.

Dr. Gooyers is a Senior Associate at 30 Forensic Engineering and specializes in the bio mechanical assessment of injury causation. He has been published in some of the top bio mechanics journals and has conducted hundreds of technical investigations for civil litigation.

Our team is based across Nova Scotia, in Halifax and Sydney. We’re building an analytics product to improve patient outcomes following musculoskeletal injury. Our cloud-based platform is built for insurance and healthcare professionals. Talem Health’s technology provides data driven insights to improve healthcare delivery in the auto insurance sector. 

And most importantly, we’re looking for an experienced individual in analytics who has the expertise to develop product architecture as we fully commercialize in the insurance market.

About you

You’re keen to join an early stage venture, passionate about learning and eager to take on a new challenge. Your previous experience, work ethic and drive will assist in the fruition of a great new product making you the perfect addition to the Talem team. You pride yourself on your ability to effectively grow, lead by example and communicate with colleagues and to interact with clients at all levels.  

You have Masters level or Bachelors degree in computer science with five or more years of relevant experience. Skilled in back-end languages of PHP and Python, you have experience with cloud service architectures, such as Azure or AWS and are confident with relational databases like MySQL. Ideally, you understand Vue and React front-end frameworks, have worked in technology risk analytics, have extensive project management experience, and have taken a product through to production. You’re very much interested in machine learning, deep learning and risk analytics, and although you might be considered a tech “geek” in some circles, you have sound interpersonal skills and enough work experience to appreciate the business side of a start-up.
